BHARATH MURTHY writes and draws comics. The Vanished Path: A Graphic Travelogue (HarperCollins India, 2015) is his first book-length comic as author. He is editor and publisher under the Comix India label. In 2017, he co-founded Indie Comix Fest, an annual festival of self-published comics. As a filmmaker, he has made documentaries and animated sequences. He has also taught at Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and Srishti Manipal Institute (SMI), Bangalore, where he started an MA in Comics & Graphic Literature. He writes for newspapers and periodicals on comics and related subjects. In 2025, he curated the comics section of an exhibition of comics and zines at Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, Delhi.

He is currently working on a book-length comic about M.K.Gandhi.
